Rhyno is a straightforward application designed to assist users in checking the validity of their Myki cards for public transportation travel within Melbourne. Its user interface is intuitive and user-friendly, making balance inquiries both simple and engaging.

The application emphasizes a seamless offline experience for travelers. When a Myki card balance is low, Rhyno provides access to a comprehensive map of top-up locations across Victoria, with the added convenience of suggestions for the nearest top-up point. Additionally, Rhyno offers notifications if a card is nearing expiration.

By scanning your Myki card via NFC, Rhyno displays relevant information regarding either Myki money or Myki pass. Users managing multiple cards can assign distinct colored labels for ease of identification. Cards can be reordered or removed as necessary, providing flexible management options.

The inclusion of widgets allows users to quickly view their card balances at any time from the home screen. For advanced users, Rhyno offers integration with the Shortcuts app, enabling custom automation through its dedicated actions.

The app also provides proactive reminders for topping up or renewing cards via Notification Centre alerts when balances are running low or expiration dates are approaching.

Accessibility features are well-supported, with robust VoiceOver compatibility and Dynamic Type support ensuring usability for all users.

Rhyno adheres to strict privacy principles, featuring no advertisements, no intrusive tracking or analytics, and performing all processing locally on the device without reliance on external servers or imported code.
